This program is exclusively for Scouts and their families.


We are expecting a lot of different troops to be in attendance, so please Pre-Register above so  we can make your check-in easier. 


The cost of this program is: $10 per scout including their Badge.

The cost for the adults in attendance is: $7

  • Finding the North Star
  • Using a star chart
  • How to identify the constellations
  • The different types of stars
  • Observing the moon and planets
  • Moon Phases
  • Eclipses both solar and lunar
  • The different types of telescopes and how telescopes work

  • the Cub Scout Astronomy Belt Loop and Education Pin
  • the Boy Scout Astronomy Badge
  • the Girl Scout Sky Search
  • Brownies Space Explorer Badges.



Scouts can join us during our Family STAR Nights to complete many of their requirements for their badges.


These public events can get quite busy, so please pre-register your troop above to be sure that we can accommodate your troop. 


General Admission is: $7 per person

Badges are available for $3 each.

 SPECIAL SCOUT STARGAZING NIGHT AT THE CHALLENGER SPACE CENTER

Friday night, November 11, 2016
Doors open at 6:30 PM / Programs starts at 7:30 PM 

All Scouts are invited to come, learn and enjoy space by exploring Challenger Space Center.  Each Scout will receive a self-guided activity packet that teaches independent learning and responsibility along with history and knowledge of space. Upon completion the Scout will be eligible for a Challenger Space Center Scout Patch!
