Family Fun! Halloween-Themed Cool Science Activities with a real Engineer!
The Challenger Space Center Arizona invites the public to Rocketoberfest,
featuring family-friendly space and science activities on:
the weekend of Saturday, October 29th through Monday, October 31st, 2016.
Here’s a look at one of our featured activities in the past!
Additional activities will be popping up throughout the weekend, including:
- pumpkin DNA extraction
- cornhole
- Mars rover robotics
- outdoor pumpkin launches
- make-your-own glow sticks and slime,
- “Frankenworms” and vampire veins.
- Carnival style games include Mars ping-pong ball toss, planet toss, UFO ring toss and lollipop planet.

Disaster on the red planet:
a Haunted Mission
On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., Halloween-themed science and rocket activities
will be happening throughout the day.
Here’s a sampling of what’s in store:
- a Mentos® fountain experiment
- mini pumpkin ejection charge demonstrations
- rocket launches
General admission is:
$8 for adults
$7 for seniors (55+) and military
$6 for students (3-12)
FREE for children ages 2 and under
Challenger Members are FREE.
Each Admission includes a packet of 4 tickets for our Carnival-Style Games
