AUG 1996 – PEEF adopts $250,000
goal.
NOV 1996 – WESTMARC’s Best of the
West Chairman’s Award winner.
DEC 1996 – Unveiled CLC of AZ

FEB 1997 – CLC FUNDRAISING AT

FEB 1998 – PUSD hires Craig Weeks
as 1st teacher for the Arizona CLC.
MAR 1998 – Bob McCall announces
intent to build McCall Museum of Space Art adjacent to the Center.
MAY 1998 – First Newsletter
published for CLC of AZ.
MAY 1998 – CLC Attends emerging
site workshop in preparation of opening.
MAY 1998 – CLC Celebrates 2nd
Space Day: displays in public libraries, Borders Books, Barnes & Noble and the 1st
electronic field trip for Cherokee Elementary 5th grade class.
MAY 1998 – CLC of Arizona
announces website: www.azchallenger.org created
