William G. Gregory, Pilot, Space Shuttle Endeavour STS-67, appearing Saturday, November 15, 2014, 6:30 – 10:00 p.m.  An event under the stars at Challenger Space Center Arizona.

Join us for an evening under the stars – The 2nd Annual Chairman’s Awards Ceremony, Dinner, Presentation & Simulator Tour with former astronaut William G. Gregory.  Attire: Semi-formal.

Gregory served on the seven-person astronomical research mission to launch the Astro-2 satellite aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1995. Gregory has logged more than 400 hours in space, has flown more than 40 types of aircraft, and has accumulated more than 5,000 hours of flight time. He retired from the Air Force and left NASA in 1999, and is presently an Advanced Instructor Pilot at Aviation Performance Solutions in Mesa, AZ.

 

Challenger Space Center Arizona will present the Chairman’s Award to four shining stars, including: Founder’s Supernova Award, Stellar Partner of the Year, Beacon Award for Volunteerism, and Challenger Educator of the Year Award.


 

 

Sponsorships, Tables & Tickets

 

 

We are asking companies across Arizona to support Challenger’s educational, STEM-based space mission program by sponsoring an individual work station inside Challenger’s exclusive space simulator. Today’s students are Arizona’s future workforce, and our unique simulator places students in the work environment of actual careers, inspiring them to visualize themselves in these positions.

Upgrades to educational equipment include replacing switches, headsets, blood pressure devices, plexi-glass, glove box materials, robot parts, gauges and other upgrades to support Challenger’s ongoing educational mission.

 

Year-long Sponsorships:

  

Student Work Station: $2,500 (4 available sponsors per station)  

Includes:

  • Company plaque at chosen simulation station (one year)
  • Company logo on Challenger’s web site (one year) and in teacher packets (one year)
  • Opportunity for company to have a table to distribute materials one Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the museum (company must supply necessary personnel and promotional materials.)
  • Boarding passes:  100 to be used throughout the year for public weekend missions, can be given to employees or clients for incentive gifts or other promotional purposes ($2,000 value)
  • 8 Tickets (Table of 8) to Awards Ceremony, Presentation, Dinner & Cocktail Reception, Tour in the spacecraft with former astronaut William G. Gregory, Pilot STS-67, Space Shuttle Endeavour. On Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. Mr. Gregory will recognize supporters of Challenger’s Space Mission Program.

Individual Ticket – $125

Includes:  Dinner & cocktail reception, and tour of Challenger’s simulator with former astronaut Bill Gregory, autographed photo, and 2 Boarding Passes for future simulated space mission (pre-scheduled weekends)
