Team Building Activities |
| Sense Olympics
Taking teambuilding to the next level as teams are divided up to compete in a variety of activities focusing on teamwork and communication. Adding to the challenge are obstacles that limit the senses. Teammates are required to learn new communication methods that don’t require speech or sight to convey information for one activity and must rely only on what they can hear to complete another. In yet another activity, spatial limits require creative teamwork to overcome the problem as you race against the competing team on the surface of an icy planet, or become part of a puzzle competing against other teams to solve the problem without breaking any of the rules! Can your team compete and win… we’ll see! But the biggest challenge isn’t the puzzles, but rather how the team works together to solve them. Participants uncover the principles that govern effective problem solving, decision making and communication that are the building blocks of effective relationships.
Build a Space Probe
|
This exercise promotes and fosters innovation through interaction, thinking outside the box, decision making and collaboration as a team. Using a building component known as Googleplex, you and your team of “engineers” have been selected to design and build a space probe. Teams will follow written criteria, which includes following a budget, with the goal of winning the NASA contract. Teams will present their model to the other teams as well as NASA representatives (Challenger Staff). Key elements of this exercise include presentation skills, communication and think outside the box. Be prepared for competition! |

Water Rocketry
Using an empty 2-liter bottle, a little water and some creativity, you can create a high flying rocket. Starting with just the bare essentials for supplies, a little cardboard, an empty bottle, paint and glue you are given the task of constructing a rocket that will compete for overall height and performance against other rockets. Once the rocket is built, you decide how much fuel to put in and we pressurize the rocket with air. Then it’s 5, 4, 3 , 2, 1, LIFTOFF! |
