On select weekends, Challenger Space Center hosts an entertaining and interactive astronomy night that is fun for the whole family. If the weather is questionable it's always a good idea to call and see if Family Star Night is canceled!

Family STAR Night Activities: 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

The doors open at 6:30pm for fun hands-on activities, stargazing, and our "Scout Corner". At approximately 7:30pm, professional stargazer Tony LaConte gives an amazing interactive slide presentation on constellations, planets and upcoming sky events. Included are stories of the night sky, featuring folklore from many different cultures.

Come out for a liquid nitrogen show, kids' activities, museum tours, and ice cream made with liquid nitrogen with Sub Zero!

"Scout Corner" will take place after the presentation. Weather permitting; attendees will have the opportunity to look through several different high-powered telescopes at the moon, planets, star clusters and more.

Scout Groups: please call 623-322-2007 at least one week ahead to reserve Scout Activity Packets for your group. This program addresses many of the Merit Badge, Belt Loop and Education Pin requirements for Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.
