This is a week-long, half-day adventure. Cost: $100 per child.
Maximum enrollment: 20. Children must be at least 3 years old and completely toilet-trained.
Session 1: June 16-20 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm
Session 2: June 30-July 3 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm

Session 3: July 14-18 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm

This is a great program for little ones with big imaginations! We will launch into our adventure with hands-on activities about the Solar System. Each day will have a “theme”; i.e., on “Moon” day, we’ll learn all about the Moon-and better yet, our snacks will include Moon Pies! We’ll learn how astronauts practice living and working in space, including eating and sleeping in very tight quarters. Our youngest astronaut wannabe’s will make their very own space helmet, sing space songs, watch engaging videos, and create memory journals to take home. This Adventure even includes a gentle simulated shuttle launch in our on-site simulator! Finally, we’ll answer (in a nice way of course!) that question on the minds of little ones everywhere: so, just how DO astronauts go to the bathroom in space? Please note: The same program will be presented morning and afternoon.

THE ANDROMEDA ADVENTURE, Grades K-2
This is a week-long, half-day adventure. Cost: $100 per child.
Maximum enrollment: 25. Children must be completely toilet-trained.
Session 1: June 9-13 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm
Session 2: June 23-27 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm
Session 3: July 7-11 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm
Session 4: July 21-25 9:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:30 pm-3:00 pm

For inquisitive, creative kindergarten thru second graders, we will launch into our adventure with age- appropriate hands-on activities about the Solar System. We’ll key in on some of the best and brightest stars (and no, we don’t mean Britney Spears or Tiger Woods!), including our home star, the Sun. We’ll learn all about comets and asteroids, then move on to fun aspects about astronomy and geology. Activities such as designing and creating our own solar system will ensure that we’ll have fun, fun, fun every single day! Near the end of the week, we’ll shed some light on our young stars…(okay, we can’t resist!) by discussing the properties of light and how it relates to light years and even light bulbs. We’ll take a simulated launch and dock with the International Space Station in the Center’s Earth Space Transit Module. Making our own rockets and learning about propulsion and gravity will bring us back down to Earth. Please note: The same program will be presented morning and afternoon.

Have fun exploring the history, as well as the future, of human space flight; work on teambuilding activities, and create unique ‘space-y’ memory journals. Other activities revolve around space nutrition, robotics, rocketry, and space art. Finish the week with a simulated space mission to either Halley’s Comet or Mars.

* SESSION 9, ADVANCED: Attend either an “A” or “B” session (or both) and you will be eligible to enroll in the Advanced program. The Advanced Antares Adventure is offered one week only. The Advanced Session includes the Return to the Moon simulated mission at the Challenger Center; field trips to Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff as well as to the campus of ASU in Tempe; special speakers; and advanced Robotics and Rocketry.
