Setting the stage for an out-of-this world adventure, Challenger Center summer Adventures in Space are go-for-launch! Whether it’s learning how astronauts live and work in space, launching rockets, building robots, or learning and exploring adventures related to the history of flight, each Adventure in Space is jam-packed with exciting activities.
Adventures in Space run June through August, and each Adventure features age-appropriate space-related activities designed especially for inquiring young minds. Schedules vary throughout the summer, and include Space Place Adventure for preschoolers through kindergartners; Andromeda Adventure for kindergartners through second-graders; Polaris Adventure for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders; and Antares Adventure for 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. In addition to Adventures in Space, the Challenger Center also offers Matinee Missions throughout the summer. All campers receive Adventure I.D. badges; Adventure T-shirts; memory journals; and Stargazing or StarLab Planetarium passes. Participants will also participate in a graduation ceremony the last day of camp, with parents invited to attend. The entire Challenger Center Adventures in Space Summer Camp schedule is on the attached two pages.
