| CHALLENGER SPACE CENTER OFFERS PRE-REGISTRATION FOR 2003-2004 CLASSROOM MISSIONS |
| SUPERINTENDENTS, CURRICULUM DIRECTORS, AND PRINCIPALS HAVE OPPORTUNITY FOR FIRST CHOICE AT SIMULATED MISSION DATES AND TIMES! |

| School district Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, and Principals are invited to attend the fourth annual pre-registration meeting for classroom simulated space flight missions at the Challenger Center. This meeting, at which several new programs will be announced, will take place at the Challenger Space Center on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 9:00 a.m.
The agenda includes a short review of all of the simulated space flight scenarios that the Challenger Center offers, including Rendezvous With a Comet (targeted to grades 5 and 6); Return To The Moon (targeted to grades 9-12); and Voyage to Mars (targeted to grades 6-8). In addition, a new distance learning scenario, E-Mission: Operation Montserrat (targeted to grades 5-8), will be introduced. Other topics that will be addressed include teacher training; field trips for all students, in particular for grades 1-4; Lessons from Space, delivered at your site; scholarship funding; facility rental; and teacher workshops (Mars, Space Day, and more). In addition to the meeting, tours of the Center’s high tech Space Craft and Mission Control will be offered.
Mission slots sell quickly, and only those attending will be allowed to pre-register and pre-select dates for the 2003-2004 school year. RSVPs are requested by Tuesday, February 11, and should be made to Debra Durham, at 623-322-2037, or [email protected] . |
