Robert T. McCall Memorial Donation The entire staff at the Challenger Space Center Arizona was saddened with the news that Robert “Bob” McCall passed away on Friday, February 26 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. McCall’s passion for space and space travel can be seen at the Challenger Space Center throughout the building as many of his works of art hang in our facility. In our rotunda, visitors can see Mr. McCall’s “Tour of the Universe”, a four-story mural wrapping around the walls of our rotunda. This mural, believed to be the largest in Arizona, utilizes 27,000 square feet of canvas and is a phenomenal piece of artistry that took six months to complete.
With vivid details and color, before giving his sign of approval, Mr. McCall insisted on hand painting the air conditioning vents, so they would match the mural in every detail. The Challenger Space Center Arizona is forever grateful for Mr. McCall’s time and talents so that children of all ages can be encouraged to dream. The family of Robert McCall has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made on behalf of the Challenger Space Center Arizona. *You can donate in memory of Mr. McCall in the following ways: Online by credit card:By check made out to: We thank the McCall family for their continued support of the Challenger Space Center Arizona. ************************************** You Are Invited

help thousands of students develop the skills that are vital to every
professional field. Like no other educational opportunity, Challenger
Space Center programs foster science and math literacy, and help students
develop the higher level critical thinking skills that companies increasingly
demand from their employees. As a “stand-alone” Arizona based 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution, the dollars that we need to raise each year to continue our operations and programs must come from either admissions, memberships, program services, gift shop sales, facility rentals, or private contributions. Although we receive generous support from many foundations and corporations, it is still the contributions that we receive from individual donors each year that is vital to keeping our doors open and keeping our programs available to schools, families and children. You can help support the Challenger Space Center in a number of ways. The Challenger Space Center receives no funding support from NASA, the Smithsonian, the federal government or the United Way. |
