Designed to teach pre-school and kindergarten age children about our planet, solar system and what it takes to be an astronaut.

*Living Things ~ There are many things on our planet, how many different types of creatures do you think live on Earth? Which ones are your favorites?  We will investigate plants, trees and many exciting objects from our planet.

Monday & Tuesday, Nov 15th & 16th ~ 9:30am-11:30am
*Sun & Stars ~ What is a star? Is the sun a star or a planet?  There are many objects in the sky, lets examine the qualities of the sun and stars in order to better understand what’s up there.

Monday & Tuesday, Dec 20th & 21st ~ 9:30am-11:30am
*Gravity & Magnets ~ Scientists and engineers experiment with the effects of gravity. Rockets break free of the earth’s gravity and a submarine sinks using the forces of gravity. Why do balloons float in the air and rocks don’t?

Join the Challenger’s Future Space Explorers as we investigate a new space science theme each month. The workshop series is designed for a preschool child and their parent, to add proficiency to the parent/child learning repertoire. Each workshop includes story-time, a thematic science activity and play structured by the week’s themes. Workshop activities are planned for age level appropriate science with the added parent involvement to help nurture the child’s natural curiosity.

Upon arrival your Future Astronaut will receive a Challenger passport to to track each new science discovery! Children that complete all nine adventures will receive a certificate of accomplishment.

Please note: this program does not run in the Summer months. Typically, Space-Tots is scheduled on the 3rd Monday & Tuesday of each month, September-May. Occasionally, additional programs may be added during holiday breaks.
