Women and Flight Saturday Speaker Series
Presented by The Challenger Space Center in Association With the Smithsonian Institution

December 7th, 2002 through January 18, 2003 The Challenger Space Center in Association With the Smithsonian Institution will present a series of special guest speakers every Saturday on the subject of “Women In Flight”.

December 7, 2002, Grand Opening, 11:00 a.m.

• Kim Dillon, Channel 15 Meteorologist and Licensed Commercial Pilot

December 14, 2002, 11:00 a.m. ASU Speaker Panel

• Dr Mary Ann Turney, ASU Professor in Aviation Aeronautical Research. Scientist/Active Pilot/Instructor

• Angela LaClair, Flight Instructor for Mesa Pilot Development at ASU-East. Angela is currently a graduate student in the Master of Science in Technology – Human Factors Aviation program at ASU East. She is President of Women in Aviation, International, Phoenix Chapter, as well as a freelance writer and photographer.

• Major Irene Ashker – Active Duty Flight Nurse Medical support for NASA Space Shuttle launch

December 28, 2002, 1:00 p.m.
