| SPEAKERS AT SMITHSONIAN EDUCATORS CONFERENCE INCLUDE MRS. CINDY McCAIN; MRS. LOUISE McCALL; AND DR. HERMA HIGHTOWER |

| Friday, January 24th, the Challenger Space Center will host the second in an eight-year series of Smithsonian Educators Conferences. During this upcoming conference, which is entitled “Sculpting the Future of Education,” education professionals will learn how to use museums and science centers to teach literacy in the areas of reading, geography, history, and science.
Several nationally-recognized guest speakers will be presenting at the conference, including Mrs. Cindy McCain, wife of Senator John McCain; Mrs. Louise McCall, renowned artist and wife of NASA’s official artist, Mr. Robert McCall; and Dr. Herma Hightower, Smithsonian Director of National Programs. These three dynamic speakers will be presenting during the opening session of the conference, which is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. |
