FUN THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER
AT THE CHALLENGER SPACE SCIENCE CENTER!

1.SUMMER CAMPS!

Rocketry, Robotics, History of Flight, Art in Space, Awesome Astros, Rocket Boosters, Exploring Science through Museums, much more!

Sally Ride Science Camps for girls

Serving grades 1-8

Sessions run five 1/2 days each

Prices range from $100-$225

 

2. MATINEE MISSIONS, MOVIES, & MUNCHIES!

You and/or your child can be an astronaut on a 2-hour simulated space flight mission!

Children ages 7-10 must be with a ticketed adult

Includes a space-themed movie and munchies

Call for flight schedule

$15 per person; reservations required

 

3.  SPACE PLACE FOR TOTS!

Warm and cozy introduction to space for ages 3-6!

Features space -themed storytime, songs, and videos

Make space helmets and take astronaut photo

Groups including preschools, kindergartens, mom and tot clubs can schedule special dates

Open to general public first Monday of each month; reservations required

$8 per child – adults are free

 

4.  SUMMER CINEMA SERIES!

Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, June 5 through July 24. Featuring the following “spacey” movies:

 

June 5: Star Wars Episode I, Rated PG

June 12: Star Wars Episode IV, Rated PG

June 26: Flubber, Rated G

July 10: Galaxy Quest, Rated PG

July 17: October Sky, Rated PG-13

July 24: Titan A.E., Rated PG

Movies are free with general admission of $4/adults; $3/children and seniors. No registration required.
