Phoenix Area Robotics Experimenters

Phoenix Area Robotics Experimenters

1st Annual Autonomous Robotic Event

May 18th 2002

Competition Starts at 10:30AM

Maze Solving:

Watch or compete in a maze event where all robots must be able to find their own way out of a puzzle of walls.

Can your robot make it through the maze the fastest?

If you are unable to compete come and cheer on your favorite robot.

If you don’t have a robot come and try programming one of our Lego robots to see if you have what it takes to conquer the challenging maze.

Mini Sumo:

Watch or compete in a Sumo event robotic style. Each Autonomous Robot has the challenging task of locating the opponent and attempting to shove it out of the ring.

Can your robot be king of the tournament? This tournament is a double elimination event so you have twice the chance in reaching the top.

Maze Events:

Beginning (Novice) Maze Solving:

As a Novice entrant your robot must traverse the maze from beginning to end in the shortest time.

Advanced Maze Solving:

As an Advanced entrant your robot must perform a Search and Rescue mission. The robot with the best mapping capabilities will have the competitive edge.

Sumo Event:

Mini Sumo:

Robots in similar size and weight go head to head on a circular ring trying to outwit each other for match points.

Anyone can enter any of the events as long as they have a robot that adheres to the rules of Maze or Sumo Autonomous competition. If you do not want to compete then come down and enjoy the festivities as a spectator.
