On
February 1, 2003, the world lost seven brave heroes; NASA lost seven
family members and friends.
When space shuttle mission STS-107 ended in tragedy over the skies of
the southwestern United States, the anguish of the loss was felt around
the world, including here in Arizona. The people of Arizona came to
the Challenger Space Center to remember the crew in their own ways.
They left many items and tributes to the crew.

This exhibit houses several of the items that were left for the Columbia
crew along with photos and inspirational quotations from the various
NASA memorial services. All other items left at the Center were forwarded
to NASA to give to the respective families.
We salute the Columbia
Seven; seven stars who now make the heavens shine brighter.
