The International Space Station (ISS) Expedition Crew Patch exhibit includes all crew patches from Expedition 1, which launched on October 31, 2000, up to the present crew currently living on the Station. The exhibit includes two of the three versions of the Expedition 7 patch.

One version of the patch is from the original 3-man crew that was scheduled to fly to the station on STS-114 in the spring of 2003. The other version is from the 2-man crew that eventually flew to the station on April 25, 2003.

The crew complement was reduced to two members due to the tragic loss of Space Shuttle Columbia and will remain at two members until the resumption of shuttle flights.

Space Station Alpha is the largest and most complex scientific project ever attempted on an international cooperation basis.

There are 16 nations contributing to the final product. Some of the nations include the United States, Russia and Canada as well as partners from the European Space Agency and the Brazilian Space Agency. When completed, the ISS will measure 356 feet in width and 290 feet in length.
