The Scout Challenge!


Where?  Challenger Space Center, In Association with the Smithsonian Institution

What?    The Scout Challenge! All Scouts are invited to come, learn and enjoy space by exploring Challenger Space Center.  Each Scout will receive a self-guided activity packet that teaches independent learning and responsibility along with history and knowledge of space. Upon completion the Scout will receive a Challenger Space Center Scout Patch!

This activity offers Scouts the opportunity to learn facts & fulfill some of the requirements for an Astronomy Pin & Belt Loop!

*Please call 623-322-2001 in advance to reserve your troop packets for this event. Doors open at 6:30pm.


Cost?       $15 per Scout includes the packet and patch. Standard admission and/or event fees apply to parents and siblings. Groups: Reservations required allowing us to copy and prepare materials. To expedite admission, please have leader collect funds and pay for entire group in ONE transaction. NO CHECKS PLEASE.  



Family STAR Nights programs are presented by: Certified Scout Merit Badge Councilor, Tony LaConte of Stargazing For Everyone.

Other scout activities: we can hold private parties, missions, scout events, and lock ins! We also hold Rocket Days where scouts can come build and launch their own rocket and fulfill every item for the Space Exploration patch! We can do nearly any event you can imagine for cub scouts, girl scouts, and boy scouts!
