Flight Director |
The
Part-Time Flight Directors and Program Instructors are responsible for
delivering, maintaining and, if necessary, improving the quality educational
programs delivered by the Challenger Space Center. These programs include
our on-site missions, E-missions, field trip programs, summer and holiday
camps, and public tours. Other responsibilities include being a liaison
between the Challenger Space Center of Arizona and the large variety
of visitors and guests who will visit here in the capacity of teacher
workshops, community missions, corporate missions, student workshops,
public programs, special events, and tours. This contract position offers flexibility
in scheduling and could be a great job for teachers, college students,
retired aerospace professionals, stay-at-home moms, or anyone else interested
in teaching and inspiring children. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Conducts missions, programs, classes, workshops, and other educational activities related to the Challenger Space Center with the direct input of the Lead Flight Director.
2. Performs record management, goal management, and team support duties.
3. Maintains a high level of professionalism in carrying out assigned duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in education or science, or current college student. 4. Teaching experience with kindergarten through eighth grade students desired. 5. Experience in technology and computer assisted instruction desired.
